Removing ignition key/lock switch?

Once the cowl is off, there are a couple "breakaway" bolts you'll need to either drill and use an easy-out to un-do or a Dremel and thin cut-off wheel to slot 'em to allow using a screwdriver for the task.

... and don't forget to disconnect the battery FIRST! :wink:
 
I always used an old screwdriver or a small chisel to unscrew those. Catch it on the outter edge as well a s you can and tap to unscrew. The driver or chisel will dig in and turn the screw. Best to give it a wack straigh on to give you a grove to start in first. That way it won't try to slide off when you hit.
