How does this come apart, Hitting it with a hammer does not seem to work. :crazyeyes:

Timely subject - I just took mine apart today! I separated them while the shocks were still on the car though.
I placed a good sized screwdriver between the lever arm and the "joint"..then (with nut on) whacked the stud with a BFH..came loose on the third swing. Keeping it under tension was the trick at least in my case..
I used the same BFH prior to using the screwdriver for tension..and it would not budge.

Give it a shot if you don't have a tie rod separator.
