What's that, Keenan? Some kind of Italian pasta?

I can't eat much of anything, down 30 lbs and still going. However a bit of JW helps.

Donates. Aren't those male body parts?
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

You can eat all the donuts you want if you work out enough.

Problem is, IF I eat too many tonuts and don't work out, I can still let the seat back in Emma, but my short little legs won't reach the pedals any more!

Donates... Lets see, that's the LE spoiler, the engine refitting, and a few other parts that Keenan has gotten for little more than being charming, and a snickers bar as I recall - LOL

No offense dude, I've gotten my fair share of the free stuff too. But that LE spoiler one really threw me off the couch! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Hey Janel, do you want an SU pump that doesn't work... Might just need a rebuild kit, new points or something? Let me know, I'll send it to ya for cost of shipping.

But, I'm not positive it'll work. It barely ticked back n forth with powere direct from a battery, but it's yours if you want it. It is the points type, and was the original one in my 1977 car. Ask around based on this post. It might be ok with a rebuild - I don't know. But I want to give back, and I have it. PM or Email me.

Kenny, I'll let you know. Thanks! And you can just rebuild fuel pumps (I didn't know that)

Wellll, most kinds you can't (electric ones anyway) but the geniuses at SU realised that there was gonna be those of us who like to fix things as opposed to replacing things.
The SU fuel pump is a thing of beauty when it is working properly.
Most of the time they can be rebuilt and provide many more years of dependable service.
Why am I adding to this thread????? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Because suddenly it's back on topic and being sortof helpful again! LOL - after what - 15-18 pages - lol! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Dang I'm so slow. Didn't even think of my old SU pump in the boot just sitting there - unused - until tonight. But anything to get rid of that cursed fuel pressure regulator would make me happy!

And if mine isn't good enough for a rebuild, I'll bet tony (involuntary at this point /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) has one she can rebuild that HE hasn't thought of yet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

Rebuilding an SU pump is actually fun. Points type, 11 weights around diaphragm IIRC...

I've several, sitting onna shelf, rebuilt as spares, points "kits" inna toolbox. The only cars without an SU here are the Benz (go figger) and I have a "cube" pump and *regulator* on the Alfa ATM. In fairness, it WILL get an SU pump soon... English fuel pump, Italian carbs, Italian car... heheheeeeeee.

I have an extra one also....

I believe it is in the weeds about 50 yards away from the garage. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is that a toss worthy of a Guinness record?

Just wondering if there's a category for the "SU Fuel Pump Distance Toss."

Could be further....Never actually checked.

Years from now archaeologists will dig it up and argue over it.

The final resting place of an early humanoid with a primitive replacement heart?

heh

Jeepers Creepers, I go away for a day and this thread grows by 10 pages...lol. Glad to see that it strayed back on topic, I guess it was inevitable though as the conversation had to come full circle eventually. Nice to know what everyone was having for supper...lol

If you look back about 15 responses, you will notice that it was I that brought the thread back to some form of semblance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

And I could rebuild the pump MYSELF, without male intervention?

If you can take something apart and put it back together like it was, then yes.

Hmmm...
