TOC - Ok, I think I see the problem (and it is likely a problem with how Flickr works). In the image you posted above with the error message I see you DID NOT uncheck the box that says to retrieve the file and reference locally. In other words, my server will try to download the file from flicker and host it on MY server. That defeats the purpose of hot linking. Try again but UNCHECK that box so you are doing a pure hot link to the Flickr site and not retrieving the picture for storage on my server. Also, on your question about storage space. If you are a non-supporting member (non subscriber) you have 20MB of storage. Now, I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but keep in mind, when you upload a picture from your computer (3MB max which is a server limitation not a forum limitation) the forum software will re-size the image for suitable posting as about a 600 x 600 pixel max image. In doing so, a 2 or 3 MB image will get stored as a down-sized image usually 100KB or less. So, to put it in perspective , I have been uploading images for 17 years. I currently am using 50MB of storage to store about 900 images. In short, because th images get re-sized for proper display in a forum post, it will take YEARS to use up 20MB unless you are uploading large numbers of files every day. In that case, (if it ever happens) you can simply delete older pics (from your Settings menu above) or you can upgrade to a supporting subscriber. A silver level, for example, gives 60MB of storage. In my case, I in 17 years I still have not hit that mark yet.
Here's the video I just made, but I'm pretty sure the issue is not unchecking that box and Flicker not wanting to allow you to download the image that way.
