MGB-GT Next Project 1967 GT

Be careful installing the door lock barrels in the door skin. Use Moss' kit to secure them instead of the spring loaded clips on the barrels, you'll have too much film thickness around the barrel for the clip to snap into place.

Looking good, nice to see some progress.

A bit more this morning

Something about shiny bits on fresh paint just looks dern good.

The new side trim from moss fits and looks great. Huge improvement over the cheaper stainless trim they are selling. Does anyone know if the vinyl trim portion of the headliner had to go in before the windshield?

ISTR it was edged at the inside of the windscreen opening and the seal "overlapped" it inside. So, I say: yes.

Ran into the Bentley that delayed my project a bit.
Also a magnesium bodied Bugatti that was unpainted other than clear coated metal.

If you had to be delayed by something, that's quite a pretty reason.

Bumpers and grill are in the process of being fitted

The more pieces on that car the more I like the red. Not that i was not a fan in the beginning either.

Boy that's looking nice. The chrome really makes that nice clean paint stand out.

Getting closer. Just waiting on the upholstery shop to come by and do the rails of the headliner and then the glass can go in. Had a minor setback with the doors as the latches both came apart and sprung.

You've got to be happy with that progress. Looks great. Can't wait to see it with those Dunlop wheels -- I need to start saving my pennies for a set of those myself now that I have a wire wheel car to deal with.

dunlop.. whats wrong with winter tires? :dejection: Thats coming along real well Thanks for constant pictures!

Where did you source those Dunlop-style center lock wheels?

I've done some further looking, and seems like it's either Realm Engineering or Image Wheels (UK) for the Dunlop wheels. Maybe someday. More likely is just a fresh set of wire wheels a couple years down the road.

I do need to finish Penny before I'm too old to drive anymore.

I got them from Realm. At the time with the exchange rate you're looking at around $2300 for the set shipped.

One more window to go
