Just remember, the shorter the wheel base the harder it is to keep straight.

Yeah, the blower came out of my Camaro, at one point the electric fan bolts worked themselves out while I was driving down the road it fell back on the blower belt. I shut it down but not before the belt took some abuse from rubbing... it works fine for this right now though and I'll eventually get a new one. The nitrous is purely just an over the top you have to be effin kidding me thing. I had it lying around and I actually terminated the nitrous line about half way down the car, but it's funny the looks I get from it driving around.

I got the brakes in the mail today... I have to say I'm pretty impressed with them. We'll see how well they stop here very very soon hopefully.

Should have sticker tires tomorrow, hopefully they fit in the back. If not I'll order some different ones. Hard top should be here next week.

New Tires got here today... Still waiting on my new Rotor, I cracked one overtighning it when I swapped wheel studs. No biggie, it shipped today so should be here in a day or 2. The hardtop should be here in a day or 2 also.

hopefully there is no burnout, hopefully it just squats and goes, but I suspect I'll need to take advantage of S&W's sale on wheelie bars. I've been putting the interior in all morning, kinda just making it as I go along. Had a lot of help from the boss though, she loves to make panels. I have to keep reminding myself that it's not a show car and to not get to retarded about the interior... all in all it's turning out pretty good.

Yeah, u guessed it. New engine and transmission combo. Engines out of my old 79 corvette from high school, it's a built l-82 350. Probably between 350-375 hp but fits below the hood scoop and should be better manners on the street. I got tired of standing the car straight up in the air... Body work and fresh paint next week.

Body work has taken a lot longer than expected... You know the deal, life happens I guess. Getting a lot done, mainly because I've got to get everything done since I'm moving to virginia beach in a few weeks. On the plus side, ill have a massive garage so I can't wait for that... Stepping over stuff in the carport is getting old along with the weather open elements issue. More to follow but if anyone's close to Virginia beach swing on by sometime, beer machine is always stocked with good stuff.

So I need to update this thread a little better, after moving to Virginia beach, I repainted the car over the Christmas holiday in the garage. Paint job wasn't perfect, but a ton better than it was before.
After a ton of cutting and buffing, I finally stopped on the front end. Below freezing temps here and lets face it, it's cold. Getting there. Not perfect, but a whole lot better than it was... More to follow

This has been a fun thread to follow as your Sprite is such a completely different bird than my basically stock '69. I feel your pain with the cold in the garage as I'm just outside of D.C. I am somewhat fortunate that I live in a split-foyer type house with the garage inclusive in the building structure. It's less exposed, so I get some ambient heat from the rest of the house. I've been tempted to run duct work out to the garage. Of course, the downside is that the garage is directly underneath the bedrooms, so doing things like painting in the garage is a definite no-no.

You mentioned standing it straight up in the air with the other engine. Got pics or a video. This we've got to see.

I never took any video, too busy trying to feather it back down, the one time I didn't it came down hard and dented exhaust and bent broke the front spoiler. One day I got the tires about a foot off the ground with the boss in the car and she was not happy do I didn't play anymore with her in the car. I Should have better pics up in a few days as I finish buffing some stuff.

Thank god the garage isn't attached, paint fumes drifting in wouldn't be good. The boss already made me basically drop off clothes at the back door before coming in due to the fumes coming off the clothes.

The disadvantage is the flexing in the back it cracks at the corners.

Is it fiberglas then? I assumed you had bolted together a hood and fenders

It's steel but the lines don't mate up perfectly so some degree of body work has to be done to hide the seem... The fenders and hood flex some during opening but short of welding a lot of bracing in, I've just decided to live with it for now

What's the story on the '69 Camaro (Is it an RS or a Z-28) in the background? I think the '69 was just about everyone's favorite year for the Camaro.
