New Guy with a sprite... Sorta

it'll look like that again when I finish the sprite... I repainted part of it also while doing the sprite, and I need to buff and polish parts of it again... I got rid of the blower and the 355 in it may go away in favor of a 406 I have sitting here. I built that car from scratch also. Labor of love, but a daily driver also. It has a watts link torque arm setup in the rear, 3:73 gear, big brakes all around, 200-4R trans, manual brakes(personal preference), coil overs all around, tubular front, quick ratio steering box, etc.

got the back end wet sanded but didn't finish buffing... I should be able to finish everything up tomorrow. Definetly before the pats game.

Camaro looks awesome! I'm assuming that it's a bit quicker than stock?

I like the deck lid location better than the hood. I'm kind of thinking having it off-center to the right, kind of like the way the "53" is on the back of Herbie.

That Sprite looks downright scary. I'll have to warn Baby Blue about him...he's the kind of "bad boy" that the pretty girls like Baby Blue fall for.

i got a little bit more done as well, kind of ran out of motivation and day light. More to follow. Trying to do something different with the valve covers, plug wires, fuel lines and maybe headers.

It's been awhile since I updated this thread... a few house moves, and deployments since I last posted in here. Back in Millington, TN now, I'll be here till retirement thankfully, then I'll figure out what I'll do when I grow up. Going back to the supercharged setup in the Sprite and making a ton of upgrades and updates to the car.

I know some people will.probably be upset, but I think Thomas Denner would approve. Still a ton of work to do, but I like it for sure.

I think it is safe to say the car looks every bit as surprised by that engine as we were. :D

Not a lot to report today... pulled half.of the front suspension off, it was disgusting. I got it sand blasted going to switch to a more aggressive sand in the sand blast cabinet, the white stuff isn't too happy with all the grit and grime on the parts. Car and suspension should look a million times better once I finish all of the powder coating. Figured the car is so small, I'll just start at the front and work my way back.

just keep the updates coming!
