Aw man, would you look at this?
A poor guy takes a single day off to unfrazzle
his nervous system and you guys are jumpin' all
over me. Now I ask you. Is that how gentlemen act?
Give me a freakin' break- I ain't so mechanical lame
I'd install a fan belt upside down!! I used to own a
Corvair Monza Spyder- I have fan belts down to a science.
Ben (Banjo) got the sequence of things perfect.
There is indeed a wrench stuck between the pump
housing piece and the engine. And I never have or did
remove the bloody pump housing.
The missing bolt is my bad from when when I removed DPO
Pedro's failed fuel delivery system. Ben called it
correctly. I got 48 miles of around the block driving
before the seal gave way.
Installing the new pump got the missing bolt hole out
of alignment. I pulled the other two bolts out to get
the alignment correct. Once all three botls in and started
I used the wrench to create a gap where I could put of
TRBill's magic gasket sealer.
Then in the darkness, I torgued the three bolts. With
the freakin' wrench still in place. (unknown by me at the
time)
and ahem...... not mentioning any names here. BUT...
another master TR guru inspected the unit yesterday and
also failed to notice the wrench in the works- in broad
daylight.
The photo is still status. Ben is bring me some gasket
material, at which time I will indeed totally remove the
pump housing assemble and put it back together all cleaned
up and with a gasket.
Uh Ben??? About the beautiful weather conditions for your
arrival tomorrow-when wespoke this morning? Uh.....
