I would add that the only one I have seen was on a TR4--(I believe) A.

OK. Guess it would not fit well on a TR3. The exhaust pipe banging inside the cruciform is driving me nuts so I ordered the stock TR3 hold down bracket from Moss.

It is a real PITA to install. But it does work. Actually if the mystery part does come off of a TR4 you may be able to use it. But you only have part of it. I believe there is also a hanger that is suspended below the part that you do have.OK. Guess it would not fit well on a TR3. Is that an overdrive its bolted to? Not readily adapted to a non OD gearbox by the look of it?

this is the bracket on my ‘59 TR3a with an early tr6 Atype od gearbox
but I think the rear mounts are in the same place whether its OD or not.
the exhaust is a big bore system so I have wrapped it here and through the cruciform to prevent knocks and vibration.
