Seems Emma has a hole in the exhaust system. I'll be replacing the system from the manifold back.

Don't want a Peco, as great as they sound, because A)color B)paint peeling off.

I'm leaning toward the Falcon big bore.

I need some input guys please, need to get it ordered.

I have the moss/falcon big bore in stainless. Slightly louder but has a nice lower sound to it. Installed with no problems

If I had to do it over again I’d take mine to a muffler shop and have them make me one rather than purchase another exhaust. I purchased a stock exhaust from VB but while it looked fine because of the modifications I’d done to the suspension I ended up removing the center resonator because it would drag on speed bumps. Would have saved money having the local shop make me one.

But because of where you live (St Louis) I would consider paying a little more for a nice “stainless” exhaust system and replace all the old hardware.

TONY! Can you shoot me a price on the Falcon big bore?

And give her the "Order TWO and SAVE!" pitch!

Oh yea, we'll need two, won't we?

Like havin' TWINS, Janel.

Janel, I can't remember if you've switched to SUs on your 75 yet, but if you still have the ZS carb on there, it uses a different exhaust system than your SU's will. If you're putting the SUs on soon, put a quick patch on the 75's exhaust until you have them installed with the new exhaust and exhaust manifold.

Wait a minute!! Somebody has some 'splainin' to do. I followed all 138 replies to the "fuel problem" and this is the fix? I have been checking this 3 times a day. There has to be a better explanation!

Bwahahahahaha. This isn't related. Well, not directly, to the other problem. But the ZS is out, the SUs will be going in over the weekend most likely, or early next week.

James, I have the ZS off, and the muffler/exhaust system is laying on the garage floor now. It's all off. So we'll do the exhaust system after we install the SUs. Emma ain't going no where no how no way for awhile.

GAH, that means another week or better of no driving. What a sucky way to start off the new year.

It could always be worse.....we're looking at another few months yet of inactivity.... Yes it's warmer than it has been, but still very wet, and salty.

Ugh a few months!? That's extremely sucky. Was in the 60's yesterday, 50's today. I hope it drops to 20 degrees and snows a foot. Then I won't want to drive her.

yeah listen to her whine, i wont get to drive mine for about another 120 DAyS!! Geessh... Ive got a muffler for ya JB.....hehe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Got any cheese to go with my whine?

Janel - I'll work up a price but you're gonna need the entire thing from exhaust manifold back...I'd suggest you just have one built locally...Peco header & locally built exhaust using aluminized pipe 2" & a couple of glass packs!

Pecos are bugly when they start peeling and the paint gets discolored. Pretty much got my heart set on a stainless.

Yes I need it from the manifold back, on the '75, with the HS4 SUs.

I wouldn't even know where to begin to look to get it built locally. The muffler shops around here are akin to Auto Zone when it comes to help with an older, obscure car.

All exhausts are ugle when they get hot & lose their color - & all of them will unless they're JetHot coated!

Find the little old guy muffler shop in the older section of town
