TR6 "Might as well" if you need to pull the TR6 dash

My turn signal wires are gone, and I've had no luck trying to remove the column harness cover (#123 on the below)

So I'm planning on pulling the dash panel off so I can get better access.

Any might as well items while I'm under there?

Td-

You should not have to remove the dash to install
new turn signal wires. The harness cover has a
bit of wiggle to it if it is not filled with old wires.

Make sure all the old TS wires are out. You access
the other end of the harness cover from driver's footwell.
Yes, an awkward position but brief time spent there.

It is a tight fit but the new wires will fit in the opening
you have without taking out the dash. I did mine with
oversized wires and I'm really lame when it comes to such
things. You can do this thing. Here's how it should look.
Turns, driving lights and horn wires all go thru the cover.

PS: My advice on your dash. Unless you have a problem of some kind; leave the dash alone. A real pandora's box once you remove it. Dale

Good point Dale!

I didn't think to pull the old wires first. Seems kind of obvious now that you mention in!

Dale- Are you missing the part #123 in the above drawing??

Re: "Might as well" if you need to pull the TR6 da

No, part 123 in directly at the arrowhead.

but thanks,

Now I see it, on the later cars there was a part above that I think.A part for the Ign. switch or something. It has been a while.

Re: "Might as well" if you need to pull the TR6 da

Looking at this more closely, my part #123 has a lip that fits into #90 so you can't just pull it down. There is a metal tab that prevents it moving so as to open up a bigger gap to thread the wires through.
