May I introduce . . . . .

Frank,

Good for you, nice to have it finished I bet. I've got you beat though-I've been working on my 4A since 1997 and have bought and sold several cars along the way.

I only wish mine would turn out that nice. Beautiful. Hope it's not too nice to drive it.

So....I think it is great. Did you finish the wheel in time?

JP, Yes that is/was your wheel and it got its last coat of gloss black 4:00 Wednesday morning!!! :yesnod:

I believe it is your wheel once it left here....it looks great on the car....a lot better location than hanging in my garage. I am glad it helped to get you past your 11 year deadline.....hope that mine doesn't take quite that long. :winner1:

Frank - I just got back from work and saw your post.

Well done sir!

That is one fantastic looking (and driving!) TR.

And the pictures of The Grey Lady next to TS-1 ... well, I think TS-1 is jealous.

Congratulations!
Tom

What a beautiful Lady! Congrats!

I can only hope mine comes out nearly as nice as yours. I'm just over six years in mine and now I'm thinking of starting over. I hope your quality of work rubs off on me because I do have one of your parts on the car. I would love to get some close-up engine detail shots, and I'm sure others would also. Fantastic is all I can say.

Frank,

Just beautiful! I've been wondering how far along you were and now I know...

I think I'll aim for my car's 60th anniversary.

Gorgeous! But then I've always loved Silverstone Grey.

Question: are those Lucas PL700 headlamps? If so, are they considered correct optional fitment? I ask only because I'm so used to seeing period photos of TR2, TR3 and even early TR4 with the P700 headlamps!

Nice car great color combination. Just need a OSU Buckeye on it now.
My TRT3A project only took 7 years. Congrads!!!

Very nice TR3! It looks perfect!! GREAT JOB!!

Randy: Galveston is quite a haul, but maybe.

I'll make a deal with you. You bring your car to Galveston this fall, and next year when I drive my finished TR3 to Portage, Pa, I'll meet you somwhere. -Just promise that my car doesn't ever have to compete against yours.

I'd love to see it/you at the convention.

Congratulations Frank. Looks great. Love the colour combination. It would be great to see detail pics of the car as it would be a great help to those of us who are still "in the midst". Cheers, Mike

I too love the color and makes me wonder if I should go back with the original Silverstone Grey versus Powder Blue although according to the BMIHT certificate my interior was Silverstone Grey as well so I wonder how that would look.

...The Gray Lady's final score was an outstanding 98.0

Totally beautiful for sure...but I've just gotta ask....isn't anybody else wondering about those 2 points?....

Very Nice Frank. You should be very proud of that.

Cheers,
Tush

I've been hoping someone would ask what the 2 points were.

Larry: Now I understand the comment re Buckeyes. You should be aware that most of the founding members of TRA are/were from Ohio. So, there were lots of Ohioans at the meet last week. At least three members mentioned the OSU color scheme! :yesnod:
