I've been hoping someone would ask what the 2 points were.

A couple of the windshield stanchion screws' slots were oriented incorrectly.

We did that on purpose as an eye test! :yesnod:

Actually, my anorak friend, Brian, actually is sensitive to such things. I recall a discussion we had about this. He preferred matching screw head slots. I didn't and suggested that Triumph would never have cared, which implied that random screw slot orientation would actually be more original, not less. I lost the argument!

We are not sure about the 2 point deduction.

In TRA, if you win best in show, you can not compete in concours for three years. However, you can compete in premier class with other cars that have previously won BIS. This is really great fun, trying to erase those deduct points. One of the TR2's scored 99.7 points last week. Wow!

We had to request the judging sheets. I hope to learn soon.

There is the major difference between TRA and VTR Concours. TRA will send the judging sheets so that an owner can improve for the following year. For some reason still unclear to me, VTR will not provide the score sheets, only the final score.

Didn't realize that Lou, I agree if you are trying to improve on concours you need the feedback - otherwise how can you fix things up?

Beautiful car and beautiful setting. Love that part of the mountains and am curious as to how many cars and what models were represented. I joined VTR this year but not familiar with TRA.

Frank, that is absolutely gorgeous work and the results are phenomenal.

Triumph Register of America (TRA) was formed to preserve the marque and is devoted to the TR2 through TR4-A series. We welcome everyone however. The annual meet will typically draw between 60 and 80 cars and runs for a 3 or 4 day period. There are 25 local centers scattered across much of the country. It's a great organization and I have greatly enjoyed involvement since joining 6 years ago. I've included a link to the web site.

We are always seeking new members, and you need not be a member of a local, (or even own a Triumph)
