Re: Looking to buy my 1st B--how does this one loo
Kandace,
Everything that you have been told is good advice. I bought my first MGB about twenty-five or so years ago, and of course this board did not exist, and I was still in the UK then anyway. What I found invaluable was Lindsay Porter's "Guide to purchase and DIY restoration of the MGB". It's not the definitive work on the subject, but is probably the best published to date (hint to Tony.....I would like a signed copy when you write the definitive volume, just for planting the idea). I read it cover to cover many times, and it helped enormously. I don't know as much as Tony, and I probably absorbed enough to be dangerous, but it's well worth the money. Even though you want a turn-key car, it will help you avoid buying one that's not............
