The one on the solenoid side you just have to remove the plate and replace the "O" ring.

have you any idea where you can buy those two "O" rings? I think I found one in Moss cat. but not positive? Dick
 
I remember seeing a tech tip on another forum about replacing the pin on the setting lever with a socket head screw. I believe it is a #6 or #8). The lever must be drilled&tapped and a portion of the screw mus
 
The "O" ring in the plate I have in the photo is not a standard o ring it is a square section ring. I do not remember if I got it from Moss or Rimmer. They both call it an "O" ring and call for 2.

Do not get any sealer on the "O" ring r shaft as it has to turn freely for the OD to disengage.

The diagram gives the impression the o ring goes on the outside of the solenoid cover. It actually goes on the inside.

I have removed the outer cover next to the solenoid. Apparently I need to now remove, what Moss call the 866-340 Bracket, to get to the O ring location on the backside? I see there is another gasket 866-350, I need to get too. Dick
 
I presume you must have a cover over the solenoid lever?
This is how the later ones look there is no cover over the lever so yes you will have to remove the Bracket and may need a new gasket if it gets damaged. I made one from gasket material from Advanced Auto.

Is that bracket easy to take off and on? Are there any springs that are going to come out, when I loosen the bracket? From the earlier pic you sent me, I assume the "O" ring mounts in the back side of that bracket?

The bracket comes off easily but you will need to unclamp the solenoid actuator arm. There is the big accumulator spring but it does not jump out.
Be careful how you apply gasket sealant as the shaft needs to rotate freely.

How did you get the pin out? I have bent 4 nails trying to drive it out. Dick
 
Sorry I didn't complete the original posting, I meant to delete it and couldn't.
A nail set or hardened punch may be a better weapon to remove the pin. I don't think it is tapered, so it should be possible to remove it from either side after removing any peening.
