Guys after driving Bill Mayer's 60FROG several weeks ago in San Diego I decided if the opportunity arose to find a really nice BE that I could be driving very soon rather than looking 2-3 years down the road I'd consider it. That opportunity came this AM and AN5L32143 is about to officially change owners for I kid you not the Second Time. Bugsy IV was purchased new in Los Angeles in 1960 by a guy for his wife. She died 4-5 years later and this BE has been in storage last titled in 1964. Still has the CA plates on it. This car made it's way to Cleveland last year, sold by the 90 y.o. owner who had made some attempts recently to fix it up. Repainted at some unknown time to a Blue Metallic, think Ford Blue, it is remarkably and I mean remarkable totally rust free other than on the rear springs that's it. A dusting of primer is on the car now, and that will get cleaned up as Bugsy IV goes to OEW w White interior. New Clutch and Rib Case attached to the original 948. Temporary owner in Cleveland just put it in storage and never even attempted to turn over the engine. Engine BTW turns over freely. Take a look at the pics, I can't believe how clean the underside is. IF I can make trailer arrangements, Bugsy IV will come home from Cleveland next weekend.
Bugsy II, well I've only got a one car garage. All the parts and pieces and sheet metal are bought, FLoorpan is cut out, new rear bulkhead is in hand. The hard part of taking it apart is done. This BE is 5 x's the car BE Guy currently has on eBay for $2,500. I want to move this BE quickly. Lots of things already fixed, new Rockers, Inners, Outers, DS Floorpan, Rear Quarters, new rear boot, solid bonnet that needs surface rust cleaned up. Will come with the 948 and Ribcase that is in Bugsy IV. Good set of seats, unmolested dash. It has the makings of a very good BE. Talk to me, it will get more expensive if I weld it all back together and throw some paint on it. I want to go drive my new BE.
