Read my answer.....without emotion and maybe you'll understand the answer.

For the record, I re-read this response about 20 times and it makes no sense.

You have my mobile number....call me....waiting....

To the crew: I asked a simple question. The responses were surprising, fantastic and emotional to a completely reasonable question.

What I thought was a simple question has completely changed my Triumph perspective...despite my 25 years of ownership.

The general agreement seems to be that I am an idiot. Original car? Why??? Question heavy mods? You are an a$$..

I should have expected & known that modifying Triumphs is practical and desired. Originality is nice, but carry's little value. God forbid you preach originality for the Triumph brand as it was designed.

Got it... thanks... No more Brit cars for me...... Ford Model A & 1958 Vette next instead of the TR3

You didn't know you had that much influence on people did you, Randy ?
I'm kinda surprised, too

Yikes, I quit reading this thread last week because I thought it was played out, then I check back to see how it could still be going 4 pages later.

I recall a scene from Armageddon when Steve Buschemi walks in and finds everyone is pointing guns at each other: "Alright, what'd we miss?".

Anyway, they're all Triumphs to me, including this 305 mph beast that showed up at a local car show last week:

Apparently has a Tucson connection (paint & body I think). Yeah, have to look hard to find it but there is a car from Coventry in there somewhere and I, for one, enjoyed claiming it as a fellow Triumph.

I like cheese.

GEAUX TIGERS!!! Overtime - Score tied at 6 all.
