Front hub puller?

What sort of hub puller do I need for the front hubs? I'm in the process of disassembling my disc fronts, and need to get them apart so I can send the A-frames/kingpins out for rebuilding.

Drew, No hub puller needed. If you have wire wheel hubs there is a grease cap that can stump you briefly, but otherwise, undo the split pin, undo the nut, and pull. It will come off disturbingly easy.

These are disc wheels. So I can just pull the hub off the stub axle? Geesh...

Not much force at all. One of mine needed very little persuasion with a 3 armed puller, the other one came right off.

I'll give it a go tonight. I'll admit, I never even tried to pull them off, figured the tool was necessary.

Well, that's what the manual said! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Don't forget about the tabbed washer behind the nut. If you don't remove that first, it can make things a little more difficult.

Sure enough, couple good pulls and everything came off. Just need to get the bearings out, and all will be well. A-frames and kingpin are ready to be sent out for work now.

Drew, you rolling right along.
