These guys are so good and so honest I had to repost as a recomendation in case anyone missed my previous posting.
I recently had my TR6 alternator stop charging at 1:00pm on a Friday afternoon. I was sure that I didn't have much chance of getting a unit repaired or replaced in time for me to get to the NE Triumph Lobster Run early the next morning.
I looked through my local Providence phone book and came upon the following company's listing. Not only did they have the internal parts needed, but they said to bring it right over and they would do it within the next three hours. I dropped it off at 1:30 and it was ready not as promised, but an hour early! They completely rebuilt the unit with new brush holder, regulator, rectifier bridge, bearings and a complete test and cleaning of the rotor and stator. They also grit blasted the case and it looks as good as new. Total price installed was $160 including R&R labor and tax. I didn't even have to get my hands dirty! They also do starters if you need them overhauled.
I drove three hundred miles yesterday and the car ran great.
