How different is the receiving end? I thought the bore was sufficiently "deep" to accomodate either one. The ends are the same diameter, the 1/4" difference would only engage the receiver at a different point in the bore.
Only thing I can think to worry over would be the short stem coming out of the rib-case receiver on full travel if engaging reverse, methinks.

The weather is getting cooler here, down to mid 80's now. Soon it will be agreable to work in the garage then I won't spend so much time here.
Oh yea, took me three months to master Yamaha engines, Legend Race Cars.
Thing ran like a you know what this week end. Lots of power, hooked up excellent, and bumped the rev limiter at 10.5 at the end of every straight. I did my job, now if I can just get Ted to push some. Oh yea, thought we had a drag racer comming off the corners. Scared the heck out of me on the first hot lap.
