Wedge Bye-bye black [TR8] bumpers......

I like the look. It changes the wedge to a something a bit different. Good improvement I think.

I'm having trouble uploading these, so here are the latest...I hope...

I was never a lover of the shape of the TR7 or TR8 but this I could like. That is a great improvement to the design and look of the car.

Wow. I really like this look, both front and rear. One very-very small suggestion for the rear - and don't you dare take my comment as a negative. With the silver (chrome) luggage rack, the silver (chrome) exhaust tips, the silver (chrome) radio aerial, and the silver (chrome) trunk release, I'd suggest a change in the license plate frame to a complementing silver (chrome) to tie everything together.

If they would have built this car they may have stayed in business !

If they had continued developing the car, I'd bet it would have evolved along similar lines. But they never had a chance.

Looks great, Paul! I'm glad you're having fun with it!

Jay, I appreciate the comments and tomorrow I will head to the local parts store and get a new license plate frame that will be chrome as well. Thanks for the suggestion. With the BIG black bumper gone, it now needs to be replaced.

I'd like to think that this would have been the evolutionary path that B/L would have taken with the car.

Is there an echo in here? :jester:

Not quite Mick, you "bet" on it and I'd like to "think" that I was right.... :jester: :jester:

Paul, that really IS fantastic!! Are you preparing for the onslaught of "whaddisit??" questions that will undoubtedly haunt you anywhere and everywhere you go??

It SMILES!!!Kinda like an Elan!!

Peter, I'll let you know after the Triumph show tomorrow.

Doc, it does kind of smile. A lot nicer then the other bumper did.

Paul, I've been following this topic right from the start. Now that I can see the results, I think it looks great!! I wasn't sure how it was going to look, but I felt that it was Your Car, and if You liked it, then that's what counts!

Wish I could come to Brookline to meet some of you folks, but tomorrow I will be in Stamford, Ct helping my son move (maybe nextyear)

Hi Paul,

Have you measured the length of your car now? It looks like it knocked at least 6" off the length, if not more.

...or statements such as "hey, my roommate in college had a similar body kit on HIS Pontiac Fiero!"

P.S. I just noticed that this is my 5,000th post to BCF...and I squandered it on a reference to a Pontiac? :wall:

I really like the looks of it, definately takes away the 80s look. The shop that sells the kits is between my house and work so I have been tempted to stop by and just see what all they have and do, I am courious that way.

The owner seems to be a very decent chap having trader emails with me several time about the kits and peice of plexi glass that fits in the roll bar to cut the wind down

I am courious again may just have to drive by this week

Hey Paul, just got back from DoT at MoT, stopped by to check out your TR8, It's looks great. Looks even better in person than in the pics and the pics looked pretty good.

Thanks very much and the crowd seemed to like it as well. I won first place in the TR8 division and I did get asked over 30 (yes, for real) times who makes the kit and how much was it.

A LOT of women stopped by to ask me about it, which I thought was unusual, but I guess is a sign of the times.
