Can you put BN4 fenders on a BN1? What is the difference?

I have seen pictures of 100s with 100-6/3000 front fenders. They are the same size and overall shape. I believe you would want a pre-roll up window fender. As I understand it, there were changes to the a-pillar and, therefore, the rear fender mounting flange to the a-pillar, in those later cars. One would also need to create a small recess in the six cylinder fender to accommodate the forward "foot" for the windshield.

I have also measured my 100 and fender length is also ~63"

For all who wonder where the extra two inches went when the wheelbase was lengthened, it's in the interior. The doors are two inches longer in the 100-6/3000 than in the 100.

Today I tried to fit a BN1 fender on a BN6 (same as a BN4, BN7 and BT7). The length and curvature of the fender is spot on. However, the rear edge of the fender has a different configuration and the mounting flange is about one inch short of contact with the hinge pillar face.
So, I guess I answered my own question.

Richard, post a picture of the differences. I'm curious to see if BN2 is the same as well as a early 6 cylinder fender that I have buried in my garage.
EDIT: Just did some checking. There was a change of some sort to the hinge pillar @ body 5001 according parts listing on Moss

I don't know what difference there is between BN2 and BN4 front fenders, but I know that BN1 fenders are quite different in the hinge pillar area. I hung a BN1 fender on a 6 cylinder chassis and the mounting flange to hinge pillar is about one inch short of mating up. Also, the configuration of the rear edge of the fenders are very different.
