Can't explain it either; but spacing the slave nearer the lever (which should have the same effect as a longer pushrod) definitely helped just a little bit with my first Stag. Before doing it, I had to pump up the clutch to get into reverse, afterwards it didn't drag (but I still had to press the pedal firmly to the floor).Geo Hahn said:I too can't see how a longer slave would improve anything.
