DougPaul,
I used to row on Humboldt Bay (in a single seat).
I'd go out in the morning after working night crew.It was
really peaceful,& I got to see the waterfront from a different
point of view.
The 12-Metre Courageous in Fremantle, 1986 or 1987. Please observe the interesting shape of the keel.

The seagull on top is perfectAt the bottom of our street. Someone does this quite regularly. First time I have seen the artist use wood though. Normally just stone.

Tom, The most surprising was Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands. The most interesting were a return to Skara Brae in Shetland and Jarlshof in Orkney. And Liverpool and all the Beatles history was the most fun. Bergen, Norway is still one of my all-time favorite cities in the world. Finally the Ffestiniog Railroad was great even in the rain. And I had forgotten the the BeeGees were born on the Isle of Man. And finally spending time with our two grandsons (ages 4 and 1) was probably still the very best.Dave - welcome home. What was the most interesting place you visited during this trip?
