I lucked into this sky from our balcony on the Pride of America as we sailed out of Maui. Hawaii was great, the cruise and the ship were not. I won't ever sail on Norwegian Cruise Line again.

I'm supposed to go on a cruise for our oldest Son's wedding in a few months
to the US Virgin Islands.I have had absolutely NO desire to go on a cruise, let alone spend
all that money, but as I prefer to stay married,I realized that I'd never hear the end of it if I
didn't go.

I have enjoyed most of my cruises, this having been the 14th I have been on. But I prefer the smaller ships, and not the huge 'towns' on the water. Probably my favorite was with English Holiday Cruises on the Severn River. There were only 20 passengers and 4 crew on this boat. And being the only Americans on the cruise was a bonus. We really enjoyed that one.

The river severn surrounds my town where i live, ( Shrewsbury ) a huge oxbow with a hill in the middle of it, just a small neck where
they built the castle to keep the welsh out, it was never defeated,
but was made for horse and carts, an absolute nightmare with traffic to get in and out of with just two main bridges and
a toll bridge. plus a shed load of traffic lights that are not in sinc.

Mezy,
We never sailed as far as Shrewsbury. Our most northernly stop was near Kidminster where we enjoyed a trip on the Severn Valley Railroad to Bridgnorth. We then sailed back south to Gloucester where we had first boarded the Edward Elgar.
