Last February (2022)... the lush area close to the Nile (Nile in background). The greenery only extends few miles to either side of the river, then all sand. This was near the Valley of the Kings (Egypt).

And just because this isn't only about scenery but all that makes life wonderful, my mother (left) and her sister (right) and sister in law (middle) the year she and her sister) came to Canada 1958. (They planned to stay for 2 years :ROFLMAO: )

Summer 1965 as near as can be recalled. My brother, a few cousins and our friends at the house in NE Ohio, on the Lake Erie shore. Our "crew" as it were. Carefree summer times.
