Alfa Spider... Loss of power

had a young'n gawking and pointing at my car last weekend... I think i read "Daddy! Why does that car have 3 wipers?" on her lips as I drove by... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Had some older gent at a new car lot talking to someone (salesman is my guess), start pointing at my car when I was about 300 yards away. He didn't stop pointing til I had passed. I would have stopped if he waved me in, but it didn't happen. So, I didn't stop... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

hehehe. The only bad thing that happened to me was while coming back from the beverage store... I was sitting at a red light when a schoolbus -obviously on a field trip (way out of their county) pulled up beside me. The girls in the back threw some trash in my car... I heard the giggling before it and knew what was coming. After they threw their paper and it landed in my car... I held it up and kept looking at them Madly!... They all were hunching down below the windows until the bus drove off. I was turning and it was going straight.

Hey Doc... What's the firing order on the Alfa? And the rotation on the Dizzy?... I want to doublecheck that I put the wires back on the new dizzy cap correctly... Just thought of it, but seems like the "something stupid" that I would do... Almost like leaving the rotor on the fender and trying to figure out why the car won't start (did that twice on the MGB).

I'm notorious for "bench rotor syndrome"... the "usual crowd" find it highly amusing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

1,3,4,2, clockwise. Pick number one with engine TDC'd, cams' lobes pointing outboard: <O___O>

Nice drawin', huh? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

WELL?!?! Izzit running yet?

....SWMBO just told me I've got "twelve-pack abs!" How sweet...

I'm at work... I'll check it when I getr home 'round 4:30 or so.

Ahhh... sluffin' off earnin' bean money again, then.

HARUMPF! You gotta git yer Priorities straight, Young Man. I'm fritterin' away a perfectly good Saturday starin' sternly at the engine bay of the B, suckin' down IcyCold CAB's. Learn frum yer ELDERS.

<*snort*>

My "saturday and sunday" falls on Thursday and Friday.

Oh, and I stared sternly at the Alfa's engine bay a few hours on Friday whilst slurpin on some cold adult beverages - hehehehe.

Well, I checked the wiring and unfortunately I had it right all along /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Rats. Not for ya havin' it right, rather for still havin' the problem. We drove home last eve with the top down, under a warm starry Florida sky... Heaven on Earth, or as close as it gets. In small snippets... y' take whut ya kin git.

Currently sittin' inna garage, Pat Dailey onna CD, consumin' previously referred to CAB's, door up, reminiscin' solo 'bout me Ol' Fella and PLANNIN'. Gawd I miss havin' that guy t' talk with. Of all the things in life, that sucks the most without doubt. Our adult relationship was something akin to symbiotic. <*sigh*>

My ordinarily pragmatic attitude is slippin' a mite... got word this AM of a good friend's da' passin'. Not an easy thing to learn without war as an ameliorator. He'd a good run tho: made 74. Ooh-Ah!

Sorry folks... I'll go dribble on my bib over in th' corner now. Just figger it oughta be recorded somewhere. Here's a better place than most, IMO.

I hoist a glass to Dan this eve.
