$4.49/gal for diesel ????

Basil - do you look at the BCF forums in 'threaded' or 'flat' mode?

Well now I know why this statement didn't make sense to me!

Flatly threaded?

Diesel flavored Kool-Aid?

We each have our "flavours".

mehheh.

Oboy

I just got a Dodge 2500 4x4 Mega cab 5.9l diesel to pull my cars around.

This is going to be costly.

Big Truck!

Ya pays yer money - ya makes yer choice.

But I'm thinking that fifty years from now, our kids may have a much lower standard of living than we have now, and may be wondering why we spent so much money - and used so much oil - just for fun.

I am really proud of this crew...12 pages of posts and even with a couple of "tread lightly" spots this thread has avoided a melt-down!!  :grouphug:

Basil, how's the tongue-biting doing!

I deserve to be Canonized.

I think he'd pronounce that - canonithed. And eventually - a thaint!

Perhaps all of our tongues are bleedin' a bit, methinks.

Gentlemanly discourse, a lost art on the internet. Totally lost, except here.

Thanks, Basil.

Biting the tongue instead of posting ad hominems - yeehaa! All these pages show how we can get the brain gears turning in a forward direction if it's the idea, and not the speaker, that's dissected!

PS - diesel is now $4.69/gal in much of western Connecticut. Think I'll pass on that new Dodge 2500.

A nice thing about a diesel is it might be a bit easier to convert, than a gas engine, to running on used french-fry oil or other low-grade combustibles etc.!!!

PS: Diesel fuel purchased dock-side for boats is up around or maybe in some places even over the $6/gal mark around here!! Used to be you could charter a fishing day-trip for about $1500 not very long ago. It'll now cost about $3400 for the same trip...nothing different but fuel cost!
