Just received status update "Scheduled to arrive at the destination on 10.30.2020"

As I said, coming from Chicago with stops in between as it is on a Moving Van.

That is good news! I can imagine you (and BCF) are looking forward to the car moving off the carrier and onto terra firma.

Best wishes Jack!

The car continues to be advertised in many places.

All the more reason to wish Jack well, and look forward to seeing the car when he receives it!

Oh, I agree... but shouldn't the web-sites have some accountability? Surely some have reported such to them.

Mark - that's the big problem most websites are facing these days. They're not legally responsible for what people upload to them. So unless they check every ad and photo, nothing changes.

Thanks Tom. I suppose so. It's really annoying that even IF one reports an ad they won't respond (except Craigslist, who will delete an ad). It's also particularly odd that a given ad will appear from multiple locations around the country AT THE SAME website!

Further proof that the website doesn't care what's posted!

OK - back to wishing Jack the best of luck.

Fingers crossed

Ha, I expect nothing will be delivered. I did not see that zcar comment when I was looking last week.

Sure was a nice web site when it was up, sure glad 4K is not a big deal.

But 4K is a big deal for some of us!

Anyway, hope it works out for you.

Sorry to hear this, Jack. I went through something similar a number of years ago on an eBay auction. Bought a Fiberfab Jamaican on a Healey chassis for $1,800. Was never delivered. Fortunately, I got half my money back through my credit card company. I felt really stupid for a long time for falling for it, but sometimes the red mist of wanting a specific car descends upon us and we throw caution to the winds. After a time, I began to think of it as a life-learning experience that was cheap for 900 bucks. The next time I bought a car off Craigslist across the country we hired someone to do an inspection and transferred the money through an escrow company. The seller got the money when the title was transferred to the escrow company and the car shipping company that we hired confirmed the car was on the truck. We got a nice car as a result. I have to admit that I still kick myself in the butt over the first one, but not as hard as I used to. Condolences
