TR2/3/3A 1958 TR3 Project

I stripped the dash and heater and cut out the batter box.





New box from TRF was really nice and went in without any trouble.

When I rebuilt the rear suspension I decided I had to build a set of lowering blocks. I think I wanted to build them more than use them. 1"x 2" solid AL tapped. Used a new set of shackles.



Installed. Glamour shot...

So when I removed the passenger rear quarter I discovered the quarter was welded to the rear apron. It was clearly hit and I assume the same bondo sculptor repaired this as well.



The flange on the fender was missing.



Was able to open it up and actually save the closing panel. The rear apron can easily be metal worked. Not sure about the fender though...might be in the market

Thanks, like half the planet I had to find an alternative to photobucket. The photos past #60 show up for me...not sure what the issue is now.

I had similar problems with the Passenger side rear wing. Ended up making a flange so I had something to bolt it on with. Got a Harbor freight shrinker and stretcher to get the curve.

Worked out well all around. The rest of the wing required a lot of beating and some bondo.

That does sound neat. I bet it's much easier than cranking the torch up too. David, you did it...I want another tool too...
 
For a Harbor Freight tool it works well. I tried the cut and weld trick but it did not work out that well so I got the new tool. Did a great job on the front wing flange as well.

I started picking at the motor and the head will require some attention.

One of these things is not like the other...


Block isn't too bad other than being filled with crap...time for upgrades
