T-Series 1953 MG TD Reassembly - CONTINUOUSLY UPDATED

Really how badly is it damaged? I thought you can just braze of solder theseright up and they are good to go. That ebay one might do for you then.

Me thinks lots of other things to do. Press on Tony.

Jim @ Knox Chrome said they'd spent 2 days trying to weld up the tear in the brass but something has affected the brass & weld won't take....he's sending it back to me...I'll take to the NASA metal magicians I know to see what they can do...in meantime, I've got another on way from California but its probably no better than mine!

Guess I'll work on dash & interior

Here's where I spent the day:

Covered the dash, installed instruments, hooked up everything under the dash.....next I'll cover the glove box door & get it installed but while I'm waiting on a new glove box pull to arrive from Moss, I'll work on the interior.

I'm over my frustration about my damaged/unrepairable radiator shell and am waiting on a replecement to arrive from California & my original one to return from Knox Custom Chrome so I can assess the damage myself....got a friend out at NASA who has access to some of their "metal magicians" so hopefully he'll be able to get them to repair my radiator shell using some space station technology!

(hmmm, need to take a better photo tomorrow - this one's kinda blurry.)

Did you get that ebay grill?

No, I don't know where it went.

Boy Tony I'm getting to like that brown.

It sold for $876.00.

No more listed. I met someone on the MGE who has one hanging on his Garage wall. Want for me to locate him?

Please

Give me a couple of minutes I have grill hanging on my living room wall. For sure it is not midget, mgb or mga or Tc. I will post a picture after dinner

Mark

For sure it needs to be rechromed. Yes I live in a very strange place on the other wall is my 1968 Triumph Bonneville restored of course. The wife has a special pan to collect the odd drop of oil.

Mark
