MGA "1943" MGA

Is there even one piece of anything that could be used? I was going to say if he paid me $200 I would take it away. Not sure what I would do with it though.

Bruce

Take a good hard look at my avatar.........my x did that to maggie! took 5 years to rebuild but worth every minute-my opinion(my husband isn't quite as positive!)

If it were here and I din't have to transport it I'd give hime $100 for it...the hood and trunk lid look saveable, the original radio in it is worth a pretty penny, although it's probably completely destroyed....What a shame, I'd love to know the story of how it ended up where it is though..looks like it's right by a road and all apart.

WHOA... yeah sure... lemme just pull that sum of cash out of my "pocket change".... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I'm thinking it has a Cryptonite powered engine in it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was thinking about it but the guy has nerve to want me to pay for shipping at that price. Wayne

I really think $1000 is low.

"Drive the car Elvis and Grace Kelly drove. Rare USA test market model. There were only 500 made."

Does any car company make 500 TEST models?

And just how does one prove any of this?

Bruce

YOW!!!! Do you think he has a heritage certificate? I mean if it REALLY was in the ever so famous "European Grand Prix" it must be worth it right? And did MG release the 500 test cars before or after the regular production run of cars...... Questions, questions..... Oh wait, I've got it. It is the prototype twin cam, only it has the wrong engine, brakes, and so on. Some people's children.

There was no race called "European Grand Prix" in the 50's. There were 6 big Grand Prix races in Europe that year and there were no MGs entered in any of them. Furthermore, the VIN number he lists suggests the car was built in late 1956 as a 1957 model.

Bottom line... he's full of crap.
