This is my wife's new TR250. This TR has not seen daylight since 1987!
It is mostly all original (rims are from a TR6) The Paint should buff up nice and the only rust is under the battery. One small hole. I think that we will clean it up get it on the road for the summer and fall driving. The best part is that my wife is very excited about her new TR. Her nick name is "TR TERRY"

Looks fairly original, nice find, original paint? I think you are doing the right thing, get her back on the road, have some fun with it. Is the motor from a TR6, looks like the valve cover and maybe the carbs are?

Kids? My Friend Glen and I were helping another Tr Guy with his 250. (engine rebuild). This one was in the garage also (ex father in-laws). Did't think much about it for awhile the our friend just wanted it out of his garage. We were looking for a spitfire for my wife and Glen mentioned the 250. My wife looked at it and loved it. Two days later it is in our side yard. The paint is original and will buff out nice.

Love my TR4A but would really love to find a nice original 250. Please keep us posted on the return to the road adventures of your new car.

The best part is that it's with folks that can use and appreciate it.

Well with a little encouragement from the Guys. Hood off, radiator out, head ready to come off (valve job and new seats for the new gas)Front brakes apart and front suspension started to come apart. Fuel tank drained. Also found a little more rust on the drivers floor, new floor pan (I think that I will make one myself). The Wife will start doing some of the cleaning and polishing all the bits and pieces that will go back on. Tomorrow is another day. The parts list gets longer and longer. But the smile on my Wife's face gets bigger and bigger..... That's most important.

They just wanted it out the garage. I'm sure you got a great price then. Looks like a very solid, and complete car. Are you going to leave the TR6 rims on the car? I may be in the minority group on this but I like the original Rostyle wheel covers on the TR250.

We got a great deal!! The TR6 wheels will be replaced with the Rostyle covers or the Panasport wheels like we have on our TR3. We want to keep it original but with my Wife's influence on what she like's.

Nice find Dan! I know that with your touch the new TR250 will look as nice as your TR3. And you are on track......"Happy wife....Happy life!" Gil NoCal

Looks great, I would really like a Red 250, Just a note on the RO covers, be prepared to lose them on the corners, and then watch them be smashed flat before you can recover one, take a look at the VTO's just as good as Pana and fraction of the price. I went with the Black spoke as my 250 is Jasmine and the black spoke simulates the RO cover kinda, another reason to lose the covers is the steel wheels, at this age cannot be balanced very well.
Just something to think about for a 250 Owner
Enjoy

I would be curious to know the vin as the grill is from a 4 and were used on very early 250's

Nice find..
I bought and sold some of the 250 rims about 15 years ago. They had attachment pegs for the Rostyle trims- I think the rims and trims are both rare (therefore good ones command a high price naturally).
