Too much, most of these old crocks require so much work that even if you got the car for free the restoration would be double the finished value. You, if anyone should know that considering the various vehicles you have been "playing" with. However in some situations it can be justified by scarcity, uniqueness, emotional ties etc. Bob

Unfortunately true. +2's are highly undervalued. Great cars, but not good for "investments".
They were milestone cars, first production car to be wind tunnel designed, a 0,27 drag coefficient, first Lotus not offered as a kit... none of that means much, apparently.

And, accoring to a couple of Brit sports car magazines I read, values are rising on these Lotus models.
Maybe, just maybe, now's a good time to snatch one up . . . there's a lot to like about these lovely cars.

Did someone say $20k for an engine rebuild? I'm sure it can be done for alot less. My last twincam rebuild cost $8k and that was with alot of custom work. It was a few years ago, but $20k seems like alot. Maybe I wrong, I hope so.
