Weight of engine and transmission

I have several items for sale on EBay including a 1275cc engine and transmision from a 1973 MG Midget. I've been asked by a prospective bidder the weight of the engine and transmission. Anyone know the weight?

The engine is a little under 300, I always truck ship at 275 pounds, the tranny is 56 pounds with everything on it.

Thanks guys. I have a smooth case tranny and a 948cc engine in the garage. I decided to try some scientific investigation with the bathroom scales. The transmission weighted 40 lbs. The cylinder head assembly weighted 28 lbs. Then came the engine. The scientific investigation abruptly ended when I relized there was no way I was every going to manuver the engine to the bath scales much less be able to read the weight once I got it there.

Book weight on a 1275 is 253. That's fairly accurate in my experience.
