Vacuum advance fixed!

If any remember, I've been plagued by a flat spot at around 4300 rpm for over a year, advice here (rightly) was to check the vacuum advance.
Well the vacuum advance always worked, so I blamed the next most usual suspects, the SU's.
As it turned out, the vacuum unit on the dizzy was the wrong one!
Jeff replaced that unit, rebuilt and recurved the dizzy so.....
I want to publicly apologize to my SU's. I'm sorry.
The dizzy looks fantastic, and I'll see you all the Ozarks! I'm buying.

I have to be careful in my B as it winds up past 5K so easy now!!! Gotta stay clear of them troopers! :wink:

Great news Barry. I just got my dizzy back from Jeff today, complete with a new vacuum advance (my old one was apparently non-functional).

Just happen to have my invoice handy...

My rebuild was $109 for the dizzy, plus an extra $40 for the new vacuum advance mechanism. The unit looks like new, and should work the same.

The 1098 in Bugsy seems to want to give up the ghost if I try to push past 4500 rpm. Could be a similiar issue. Hey would the Mechannical Dizzy I've got on my spare 1275 drop right in? Would be real crious as to performance issues with a different dizzy in there. A project to cogitate on once I get the A-Post welded back in. Warmer wwaether is coming and Bugsy needs t oget finished and back on the road. Spring is indeed coming soon.
