TR2/3/3A The Sequel: Water from Under the Dash

I received the solution to my "Water In the Trunk" query, so now I have the sequel question:

When it rains I get a steady flow of water in what appear to be two identical location from under the dashboard - one by the tachometer and another in the glove box area. Should there be some type of hoses in these locations to carry water out of the car?

No hoses in those areas, but shouldn't be water to carry away either. Well, at least not with the top up. There is an unaccountable problem with just the tonneau installed : it leaves the defroster vents open for water to get in just about where you've described. Since I don't have a heater anyway, I just blocked them off from underneath; but I don't know what to do if you want to keep the vents open. Duct tape?

Another thought, are there any open holes in the scuttle area? I believe most later cars had the windscreen washer nozzles installed even if the washer option wasn't supplied. If the nozzles are missing, there might be holes left behind.

There is a drain hose, like the ones in the trunk, under the battery box. The hose runs down into the transmission tunnel and out. But, that would not likely let any water in the area you are talking about.

I know on mine there is a hose that runs from the bottom of the scuttle vent well out through to the engine bay above the passenger side footwell. I'm assuming that if this hose is missing , it will just drain on top of the tranny tunnel...if the hose was blocked somehow and the well filled up slightly, I assuming that the water might slosh over the edges upon cornering...this would be in the areas that you are suggesting...
