Steering Disconnected

I recently removed the top of the steering box to fill with a synthetic grease. With the top off I slowly moved the steering back and forth to keep adding and working in the grease. Unfortunately my steering wheel no longer was connected and the wheel spins freely. The turn signal hub has also moved 180 degrees to the bottom of the wheel. Nothing has been undone, any suggestions to what has happened?

I have fixed my issue. I just needed to put the top back on the steering box and loosened the nut at the end of the stator tube to centre the turn signal indicator at the top of the column.

Yep, the 'olive' at the front of the box is what locates and holds the stator tube. As for the wheel being 'disconnected,' the only thing I can think of is the rocker was allowed to move from the steering shaft worm (but I don't know how you'd get the top of the box back on if this was the case).
