2) Downtown Cassville, WI
3) Courthouse in Elkader, IA
4) Bily Clocks Museum in Spillville, IA

12) Frank Lloyd Wright Visitors' Center near Spring Green, WI

The participants began and ended the rallye in Janesville, WI.

Four MGB tourers, two MGB/GTs, and one Austin Mini participated.

Total mileage driven by the seven teams was 4710.1 miles (in less than 24 hours!).

Average mileage driven between the seven teams was 672.9 miles.

The rallyemasters "guestimated" the shortest distance needed to visit all checkpoints and return to the hotel to be 646.5 miles.

Final results:

7th place - Robert Rushing and Bill Fox (Missouri - MGB Tourer) - 725.687 miles (This team was presented with a can of Spam in recognition of accumulating the most miles during the rallye!)

6th place - David and Mary Dobbins (Kansas - MGB Tourer) - 684.827 miles (This is the first rallye that this husband/wife team have completed successfully with out suffering a mechanical breakdown or receiving a DNF for failing to finish the rallye on time!)

5th place - Adrian VanOsch and David Engle (Indiana - MGB Tourer) - 675.452 miles.

4th place - Ken Brasfield and Bob Vitrikas (Virginia - MGB Tourer) - 675.223 miles. (Note the mileage between the 4th and 5th place finish!)

3rd place - Rob Camblin and Greg Smith (Missouri - MGB/GT) - 666.581 miles.

2nd place - Bill Davidson and Phil Nicholson (Kansas - MGB/GT) - 646.628 miles (This team won the GLT last year)

1st place - Charlie Key and son Adam Key (Missouri - Austin Mini) - 635.743 miles. (Charlie and Adam were presented with the Chicagoland Cup by the rallyemasters. This is a travelling trophy for the Grand Lake Tour. Charlie and Adam also received trophies in recognition of winning the 14th running of the Grand Lake Tour.

I congratulate all participants of this year's rallye....and tip my hat to the winners, the father-and-son team of Charlie and Adam Key.

The next Grand Lake Tour will be held in conjunction with the University Motors Summer Party in August 2007.
