TR6 Picture/diagram of TR6 throttle linkage

Hi guys - anyone have a picture handy of how a TR6 linkage is supposed to be connected to the carb body. The linkage was all sorts of messed up when I started sorting out the engine bay today.

I tried the Moss site, and my shop manuals are buried somewhere in a box yet to be found (we just finished a move).

Specifically, I'm looking to double check where the the throttle link mounts are supposed to be under/near the carbs.

Thanks Kevin.

In the first picture - nice and big by the way - I am specifically looking for the mounting points for the two outer most and upper large holes on either side of the solid bracket.

tdskip, those holes go to the studs that the carbs mount to. The lower right stud of the rear carb and the lower left stud for the front carb. Followed by a lockwasher and nut.

OK cool - that is what I thought. They aren't fitting now, so there must be something else amiss...

Thanks!

It could be what I did once before I became more familar with the set up.
I needed to remove just the rear carb. After I got the 4 nuts off I tried to remove the carb, not realizing that the linkage, at least, had to be removed from the front carb. So I pulled and pulled and wiggled the rear carb until I got it off. That resulted in a bent up mounting bracket for the linkage. I had to take the linkage off to staighten out what I had bent to get the linkage back on.
Just a thought.

That is what makes this forum great - passing along lessons learn.

Turns out that all I had to do is fit both ends at the same time rather than fit one, tighten, and then go back for the other.

I have a nice and snappy throttle linkage now.

Thanks Poolboy!
