Non-adjustable steering wheel switch mounting.

Good day to all. I'm well into restoring my AH BJ7 and have come across a problem determing how the non-adjustable steering wheel trafficator/horn switch is mounted. I've sent the switch off to Vic Wright for restoration, but the mounting hardware included with the car seemed wrong to me. Most Healey's have adjustable steering wheels and I'm familiar with that setup, this non-adjustable wheel is different. The Moss catalog photo doesn't seem to match up with what I have on hand. Can someone offer a photo? Or a clear description?
Thanks to all who respond.

Hi Johnny,

If you're asking what keeps it in the car, and correctly oriented, there is only the farule (sp?) and nut on the steering box. As the non-adjustable steering column has a one-piece stator tube, the control head attaches to it and then the "olive nut" on the steering box keeps it all in the car.

You'll need two (2) people to keep the control head straight and tighten the nut on the box (not to be confused with the nut holding the wheel /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ).

Thanks Randy, I knew someone would respond. You're correct that the stator tube is one piece, but I'm not sure how it attaches to the control head?

In adjustable systems there's a flat circular piece that screws to the control head and a short rod that the stator tube mates up with.

On my non-adjustable wheel there's a section of pipe that has a cast metal piece attached to it that looks like it might be used as a "canceling" mechanism. The section of pipe looks home made in that it's glued to the cast part. Also on the section of pipe are 2 small holes. However, there is no way to attach all this to the control head.

Thanks again for responding.
