Thanks guys. I've always loved the looks of the GT and now with gas prices the way they are may be it time to start looking again. It sounds like they are fairly easy on gas.
A relative of mine had one back in the 60s when I was in my teens that I just loved. I almost bought one in the early 70s when in college which would have been a mistake because I know I couldn't have taken very good care of it. Now I'm thinking about a more economical Summer driver than my half-ton truck, Bronco, or AWD Astro.
Besides being economical and nice looking, the GT is seems practical. I've got a replica of an Austin Healey, but its not very practical or easy on gas compared to a GT (its got a hopped-up V6 and only get 16-20 mpg at best). Looks like I'll be studying-up on MGs this Winter and hopefully this Spring getting rid of the replica and picking-up a GT.
Thanks
Gary
