I'm heading to London on Saturday. Any tips or places of interest for a Healey guy. I just thought of asking you guys. Should have done it earlier.

I'd never make it past SC Austin-Healey (formerly Southern Carburetters).

I think they're right outside the airport...
14 Cobham Way, Crawley, West Sussex 847-200

After stopping there, I wouldn't have any money left to stay in London!

Herb: I have been to England recently. What interests you? If you are looking for sports car action, you'll have to luck into a car show or other special venue. Abingdon isn't too far away - within driving distance. There are the specialists, but I can find most of what I want here in the US within import/export hassles. Take lots of money with you and/or your bankcard. Things are very expensive there for us right now. AL Bradley

Thanks for the tips. Yes, SC Parts is a definite. Their catalog is unbelievable. I will take plenty of plastic. I'm also heading for the UK's National Motor Museum in Beaulieu. I'll report on it upon my return

You will love Beaulieu. That was where I was going to suggest. Another one if you have time is the new British Car museum at Gaydon near Warwick. I have not been, but I understand they have examples of most of the cars built by British Leyland and the legacy companies that formed BL.

By all means, see Beaulieu, Herb! It is worth a day and, BTW, Stonehenge is not too far away to travel in a day from Beaulieu - I did that. There's a beautiful red 100M there along with lots of Jaguars (like the D-Type I might have killed for!), Morgans, and plenty of cars that you may not have heard of. Beaulieu was about my only car stop while there, except for the MG Club Headquarters in Abingdon. I never found them open because they were only open during regular weekday business hours and I was always touring during that time. Abingdon is a beautiful town and if you get there, Oxford isn't far away! I felt right at home there except for having to drive on the 'wrong' side of the highways. Enjoy yourself! AL Bradley
