lights, intake, paint, fog

so today was successful i finished my intake, sanded it all down by hand, and hooked up my lucas 6" lights. lucas 6"in lights?? i thought you had a rb car? where did you put them? i installed where the old tow hooks used to be. they hand down underneith the bumper. they each have their own relay and their own switch. and it is hookd up so that they will only come on if i have on the side maker lights or headlights. the one on the drivers side is a spot light(narrow long beam) and the pass is a driving light(wide short beam). im still waiting on my 100watt xenon bulbs to get here but i had some old spare lights that would fit lieing around. so i put in a 35w on the spot and a 55w on the driving light. what a difference already. it was foggy tonight and i could see all around me with out high beams. i can turn on which one i want or both. i love them. https://community.webshots.com/user/adam9090 go here to see pics. the intake is under intake and the lights are undre lamps. if you dont see the catigorys right away give them a few mins and try again. its still loading them https://community.webshots.com/album/139024023zrcPJo lamps

what did you use to switch your fog lights?

I wired them up so that when ever I have the sidemakeer lights on I can have the lights on and I wired them up with different switches and relays. I got black rocker switches and put them in the blank spots in the upper corners on the dash.

Adam,
I was looking at your intake and was wondering if you ever gave thought to fabbing up some sheet metal to attach to one of the two vents below the bumper. Then attaching the carb air intake hose/pipe between that and the carb. Sort of running a type of "forced induction" up to the carb? I believe this would move the intake to a cooler pickup location & help push a little more air into it. What do you think?

With the lights hanging in the upside position doesn't the pattern on the light lenses cause the beam to be "weird"? The "fog" light lens should have a cut off at the top and now it will be at the bottom and the top part of the beam could/should reflect off the fog back at you. Probably not much negative effect on the long range driving light. Bob

Take out a single screw and you can change the glass and everything upside down to fix this so everything is right.
