TR2/3/3A LEDs from Moss

[GTP1960]

I have a question regarding compatibility with the domed flasher units on my 1960 TR3A:
LEDs from Moss:
#170-930. (1157-w3w). For front clear marker/flasher.
#170-955. (1156-R3W). For rear turn signal flasher.

these LEDs appear to be to tall for the domes on my car.
They connect with the top of the dome, restricting it from sliding into the rubber mount.

The domes appear to be correct.

anyone else have this problem?

They may have just crossed from the bulb number (1157, 1156) Without considering the physical length. These bulbs are quite widely available from various sources and I think you can find some with the correct length, although I haven't tried.

Try Litezupp. They make custom LED conversions specifically for LBCs, including positive ground.

Litezupp does have "short" 1156 & 1157 .
ordered some dash lamps also.

In fact I did find another outlet called LEDlight.com, that has a fairly wide variety of 56 & 57 hubs.

Relatively inexpensive also.

I've heard this before. Where do I find an LED flasher?

Usually the same folks who sell the LEDs will sell either the special LED flashers, or the extra resistors to make the stock flasher work (an option I forgot to mention before).

There may be a flasher available at FLAPS, but I don't know which one is appropriate offhand. (I do plan to look into this soon, though, as I want to lose the resistors.)
