TR2/3/3A Late TR3A, TR3B windshield assemply

I am getting ready to assemble the windshield for my TR3A, S/N T698710. The stanchions mount directly to the scuttle with no mounting plate. I notice that since the stanchion castings are different for the Dzus type and the bolt on type, there are other differences such as the "seal retaining corner finisher" and possibly the way the lower windshield seal fits into the lower corners of the windshield. The old seal was badly deteriorated or missing altogether, so I have no sample. The parts books from the different suppliers are no help -- Moss supplies no windshield parts (if different from earlier models) for the 60,000+ S/N. Victoria British indicates that all parts are the same for the early and late models, and TRF does not address the issue at all. If anyone has any pictures or drawings of the lower corner detail, or know of a source that has pictures. that would be a great help.

I believe the stanction holes for mounting the corner clips are spaced much further apart than the early small potato chip holders.I also need a set.I will look for pic.

You're right, TFB the holes are further apart and with larger screws, and the clips are larger and formed/shaped from heavier metal.

I have a "late" TR3 1961. I had no issues with the sealing strip at all. It would have come from one of the big three parts houses. I just ordered what was in the catalog. It installed and fit fine. I did, however, use the original corner finishers, so can't be of any help there.

Sorry I cant find a pic.I thought another forum member posted one when I had the same question but cant find it.I used the strtandard lower seal strip.

My TR3b has the latest stanchion mounted directly to the scuttle with no guide plate. The attached picture shows the "corner finisher" on my late stanchion. I have no picture reference to an earlier stanchion corner finisher.
