To all you folks who like vintage motorsport:
You all missed a great weekend here in sunny old England.
Goodwood Revival
The circuit closed in 1966 as a race track, but has been brought back to life for one weekend a year by the present owner Lord March. All cars & aeroplanes (it's a WW11 airfield) must be pre 1966, so we took our Frogeye along & got special parking. Vintage dress is also a must for most people. my quick phone photo's
The racing is always propper racing between millions of pounds worth of Ferrai's, E type C type, D type Jags, GT40's, Aston Martin's, and many other exotic machines. Then like "Top Trumps" overhead came a Vulcan Bomber (OK post 66 but sooo majestic, kin loud too). This along with already seeing air shows between two Spitfire, 2 Mustang, ME109.
The car park was represented buy thousands of pre 66 cars, quite a splattering of Austin Healeys, big & small.
oh and Buzz Aldrin was there to wish Sir Stirling Moss Happy 80's
Me and my frog:
