On the ARP main studs... Should they be "lock tighted" in place?

That was my plan, but another person that has vast experience in engine rebuilds suggested lubing them in the block and installed 1/2 turn from bottom.

Can I get a vote?

My plan was to go the lube route also, hopefully Hap will chime in here too. I will be following your progress carefully as I will be assembling my 1275 within a couple of months.

I put a small amount of 30wt motor oil on them, and simply snug them in the block, you'll get a bit of oil drool coming back up as you thread them back up and this is the only reason I don't use their assembly lube on the block end, I don't want that moly anywhere near my block deck, but I do use the ARP assembly lube on the top threads, my final torque with these is 50 ft. lbs..
You'd never want to use loctite on a stud, because the minmute you tighten the nut on top, you goign to render the loctite useless, plus you want the stud to get that final tweak wnet you torqueing down up top. Hope this helps.
