Anyone got a source for a fiberglass hood (bonnet) for a 100-4

If you have an original one to use as a mold (master), I can't imagine a simpler body panel to replicate.

You could make a perimeter frame from 1/2" (thinwall) electical conduit, as it's made to bend easily given the proper tool, and has a fairly tight bend radius (4-1/2" to 5"??).

Regretfully both mine have either louvres or carbuncles.

I just want a cheapish one that I can cut to clear the IDA's

Any chance some of the euro racers might have some molds so you wouldn't have to pay freight to the UK? How about Pete Farmer?
Recovery from my surgery is much slower and more painful than I expected, but thanks for asking. However since it's bitterly cold in snowy NEW England right now and my garage is unheated it's not really holding my progress back. I'm hoping full shoulder recovery and spring weather arrive with perfect synchronicity to allow me to make the big push to get the car roadworthy.

Pete will <span style="font-weight: bold">MAKE</span> me a mould but having single-handedly paid off his mortgage and allowed him to take 2 two-month holidays in Australia over the last 4 years (only small exaggeration!) I'm trying to rein in my addiction of running up large bills with him.

I will try the guys you found and let you know.

Why not try Pilgrim (of Sumo infamy) They took on the Haldane 100 and its body moulds were very accurate. Neil

Regretfully they've suspended production of the 3000 and never had the rights to the Haldane 100 so they can only offer 3000 hoods (bonnets).

Now I should know this but can a 3000 hood fit a 100?

What about wrapping one of your hoods in plastic wrap and use it to make a mold using plaster of paris(sp). Since your bonnet has louvres in it, once you remove it from the mold, take some more plaster or paris and fill in where the louvres were to smooth it up. After that dries then make your bonnet

Thanks for the idea but fibreglass is such yucky stuff doing it yourself.

As I have access to this at work I'm rather leaning towards a much cleaner (and lighter) carbon-fibre one.
