Bugeye seat assembly

I can't figure out how the seats go together. There are seat frames, then seat pans, and finally a seat back. The back bolts to the seat frame, which act as a hinge to fold the setback forward.
But how does the seat pan with attached foam and cover attach to the seat frame?There are three metal tabs at the back of the seat frame. Does the seat pan with cover somehow shove under those tabs? Is it screwed to the seat frame somewhere, somehow?

They just sit there ... unless you turn the car upside down.

The back flange of the squab does go under the tabs. The front of the seat frame on my unmolested car has a little plastic inverted U shape to sorta protect the front of the seat squab. Then there are little wood lathes that go between the seat frame and the floor. The plastic protector strip doesn't do much and is missing on my other cars.

Fred,
Those are the 'feet' that hold the frame to the floor on the passenger side. The drivers side uses the slide rails and there's no reason not to make the passenger side adjustable as well.

Oh, OK, thanks Rut. I have sliding rails for both sides.

I'm a little uncomfortable with seat bases that are not firmly attached to the floor. But then, I tend to be an aggressive driver so upside down seat position is a consideration.

They stay put quite well. The next generation with a little more padding are my favorite spridget seat. I commented first mainly because I have encountered seats with the three little tabs bent down and the seat base sitting on top of them. They don't stay put all that well that way.
